The renowned music monitoring platform Monitor Latino held its official press conference and VIP launch cocktail in Barranquilla, Colombia, to unveil all the details for the sixth edition of the Monitor Latino Music Awards, scheduled to take place on September 3, 2025.

The event was hosted at Frogg Leggs Café Bar and streamed live on YouTube, gathering members of the press, artists, industry executives, promoters, public figures, and representatives from the Governor’s Office of Atlántico, who officially joined the effort for this major celebration. Among the featured artists in attendance were Martín Elías JR, Jair Santrich, Karen Liz, Jei Zuleta, Fresh Bodden, Pura Vara, Akanny, and Kelly Cardenas.

During the press conference, organizers announced that the 2025 Monitor Latino Music Awards will be broadcast globally via YouTube for the first time, reaching over 49 countries. Production company EMAX GROUP confirmed it will be an unprecedented broadcast, allowing millions around the world to tune in. Additionally, the ceremony will air live on Telecaribe and through more than 25 affiliate channels, including the Albavisión intercontinental network and Claro Music TV, bringing the show to viewers across Latin America.

This year, women will take center stage, with programming featuring some of the most influential voices in Latin music, including Arelys Henao, Karen Lizarazo, Paola Jara, Kelly Cardenas, Marbelle, Francy, and Taty-K. These powerful artists will highlight the strength and diversity of female talent in today’s Latin music scene.

The culture of the Atlántico region, with its vibrant blend of traditions, music, dance, and folklore, will serve as a central theme throughout the programming. Barranquilla, globally recognized for its iconic Carnival and Caribbean energy, once again asserts itself as a reference point for the creative and music industry in Latin America. The event will showcase the region’s cultural identity, warmth, hospitality, and the talent of its people, solidifying Barranquilla’s position as a premier stage for world-class entertainment.

Confirmed performers for the September 3 gala include: Sergio Vargas, Menudo, Grupo Cañaveral, Criss y Rony, Altafulla, Lomiel, Magic Juan, Kevin Flores, Jessi Uribe, Elder Dayán, Hamilton, Fresh Bodden, David Zahan, Sofi Vera, Katte, Dímelo Hanna, Poncho Zuleta, Camilo Cuervo, Key Key, and many more to be announced in the coming weeks. The lineup promises an unforgettable night, featuring a wide variety of genres, generations, and international talent.

The Monitor Latino Music Awards 2025 will span three exciting days:

  • Day 1: A live showcase with guest artists.
  • Day 2: Industry-focused Monitor Talks (conference panels), followed by an exclusive artist welcome cocktail.
  • Day 3: The red carpet begins at 4:00 p.m., and the live awards ceremony kicks off at 7:30 p.m., broadcast simultaneously by Telecaribe and its affiliates across Latin America.

The 2025 edition will be produced once again by international firm EMAX GROUP, based in Miami. This continued alliance further positions Barranquilla and the Atlántico department as a new cultural epicenter for Latin music. The sixth edition will unite the brightest stars of Latin music in a show that honors and celebrates the best of Latin American talent.
