The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame (LSHOF) has officially announced the inductees and honorees for the 12th edition of the LA MUSA AWARDS, set to take place on October 16, 2025, at the prestigious Flamingo Theater (The Four Ambassadors) in Miami, Florida.
This exclusive annual event will shine a spotlight on the legends behind some of the most iconic songs in Latin music history, celebrating their artistry, influence, and enduring legacy. Founded by industry titans Rudy Pérez and Desmond Child, the LSHOF honors the songwriters and composers whose creativity has shaped Latin music across every genre.
“Our mission is to elevate the voices of Latin music creators whose songs have touched millions around the world,” said Rudy Pérez, LSHOF Chairman & CEO. “This year’s inductees not only defined Latin music but paved the way for future generations of songwriters.”
President Marti Cuevas added: “Celebrating our gifted Latin songwriters is essential—not only to honor their creativity but also to inspire tomorrow’s voices. On October 16, we’ll have the chance to thank these masters for making us laugh, cry, and feel alive through their songs.”
2025 LA MUSA AWARDS Inductees
- Enrique Bunbury – Spanish singer-songwriter redefining Latin rock.
- Andrés Castro – Colombian producer and songwriter behind countless global hits.
- Jorge Luis Piloto – Cuban songwriter with over 500 recorded songs.
- Lalo Schifrin (Posthumous) – Legendary Argentine composer, best known for the Mission: Impossible score.
- Mónica Vélez – Mexican songwriter whose music has surpassed 4.6 billion streams worldwide.
Special Awards for 2025
- Ángela Aguilar – La Musa Elena Casals Award
- Charles Fox – Desi Arnaz Pioneer Award
- J&N Publishing (Juan Hidalgo & Nelson Estévez) – Ralph S. Peer Publishers Award
- Mike O’Neill – La Musa Founders Award
- Lenny Tavárez – La Musa Triunfador Award
Additionally, the timeless classic “El Rey” by José Alfredo Jiménez will be recognized as The Song of All Time for its historic contribution to Latin music, cemented by iconic renditions from Vicente Fernández, Alejandro Fernández, and Luis Miguel.
The evening will begin with a black carpet at 6:00 PM, followed by the awards ceremony at 8:00 PM, featuring tributes, special performances, and heartfelt acceptance speeches.
