Sech, one of the most influential voices in urban Latin music, is back with his first single of the year: “Novio No”. After starting 2025 with major collaborations alongside rising stars, the Panamanian hitmaker now delivers a vibrant dancehall track that embodies freedom, joy, and living in the moment. The single is available now on all digital platforms.
A Return to His Roots
“Right now, I’m really doing what makes me happy. It’s a dancehall track, and those are my roots: Spanish reggae and dancehall. The song means a lot to me,” Sech shares.
“Novio No” immediately hooks listeners with the line: “No quiere novio, quiere vacilar na’ ma.” From there, it unfolds into a dynamic dancehall production stamped with Sech’s unmistakable melodic flow. Produced by Rafita, One Rose, Garabatto, and CRBRO, the single highlights Sech’s ability to create tracks that resonate emotionally while keeping the party energy alive.
A Minimalist Yet Powerful Visual
The music video mirrors the track’s essence with a minimalist concept. Filmed in a wide, skylit space, the visuals keep the spotlight entirely on Sech. With subtle but intentional movements, he establishes intimacy and a direct connection with the audience, reminding fans why his authenticity always shines through.
“The sample is from a Ñengo song I’ve always loved. I love seeing women enjoy themselves at a show or a party, and I hope fans dance to it as much as I do,” adds Sech.
Momentum from a Year of Collaborations
“Novio No” arrives after an impressive run of collaborations that kept Sech at the forefront of the global Latin scene. Highlights include:
- “PRITI” with Danny Ocean, which peaked at #23 on the U.S. Latin Pop chart and earned traction in Spain and Venezuela.
- “BABY” with Omar Courtz, a fan-favorite across streaming platforms.
- A feature on the remix of Chris Lebrón’s “Préstame” with Jay Wheeler.
- His memorable contribution to Mora’s “El Último Beso”, one of the most talked-about singles of 2024.
These collaborations further cement Sech’s versatility, proving he can seamlessly move between genres while keeping his signature style intact.
Award Recognition at Premios Juventud 2025
Adding to his momentum, Sech celebrates two nominations at Premios Juventud 2025, held in his home country of Panamá. He’s up for:
- Best Pop / Urbano Song for “PRITI”
- Best Album of the Year for Tranki, Todo Pasa
These nominations reaffirm Sech’s status as one of the most in-demand and respected artists in Latin music today.
Why “Novio No” Matters
More than just another hit, “Novio No” reflects a shift back to Sech’s dancehall roots, giving fans a track that celebrates independence, fun, and pure energy. For longtime supporters, it’s a return to the sound that first made him a global star; for new listeners, it’s the perfect entry point into his world.
With 2025 just getting started, “Novio No” sets the tone for what could be one of Sech’s biggest years yet.
