Kris R is stretching one of the biggest records of his career into something larger than a hit single.
The Colombian trap artist returns with “GANAS REMIXXX,” an eight-minute-plus expansion of his 2026 anthem that brings together ROA, Clarent, Luar La L, De La Rose and Blessd. Rather than treating the latest version as a conventional remix, Kris R turns “GANAS” into a full-scale urbano posse cut, connecting Colombia’s increasingly influential trap movement with some of Puerto Rico’s most prominent emerging voices.
It is the third major chapter for a song that has become central to Kris R’s breakout year. The original “GANAS,” released in January, represented a noticeable shift from some of the harder-edged trap that established his identity, leaning further into vulnerability, relationships and melodic storytelling. That evolution proved commercially significant: the track has reached No. 2 on the Billboard Colombia Hot 100 and remained on the chart for more than 30 weeks.
That longevity is important. “GANAS” did not simply give Kris R another successful release; it showed that his audience could follow him beyond the aggressive street narratives traditionally associated with his catalog. The record widened the emotional range of his music without disconnecting him from the trap foundation that built his following.
The first “GANAS REMIX” pushed the concept outward, pairing Kris R with Ryan Castro, De La Rose and Cris MJ. “GANAS REMIXXX” goes considerably further.
At more than eight minutes, the new version gives ROA, Clarent, Luar La L, De La Rose and Blessd room to enter the record on their own terms instead of reducing the collaboration to quick guest appearances. The format recalls an earlier tradition in Latin urbano, when extended remixes functioned almost like events — bringing multiple artists, fan bases and territories onto the same record.
That strategy feels particularly relevant in 2026. His 2026 has increasingly shifted the conversation from emerging trap artist to an act capable of building a larger catalog and live business around his momentum. His debut album, EL TRAP DE KOLOMBIA, expanded his footprint earlier this year, placing multiple songs on the Billboard Colombia Hot 100 and reinforcing his position within the country’s new urban movement.
“GANAS” has become the melodic counterweight to that harder trap identity. Continuing to expand the song rather than immediately abandoning it for the next single suggests Kris R and his team recognize that certain records can function as career anchors. Each version introduces another group of collaborators and listeners while keeping the original at the center of the conversation.
The next test comes off streaming platforms and onto the stage.
Kris R is scheduled to headline Bogotá’s Movistar Arena on October 23, marking his first concert at the venue and one of the most significant headline dates of his career. He is then set to perform at Medellín’s DAVIarena on November 20.
Those shows could prove more consequential than another streaming milestone. For an artist whose rise has accelerated quickly, moving from digital traction into major headline venues is where audience demand becomes a more durable measure of career scale.
That is ultimately what makes “GANAS REMIXXX” more interesting than its oversized guest list. Kris R is no longer using collaborations simply to introduce himself to larger audiences. Increasingly, other artists are entering a musical universe built around one of his records.
