Herencia de Patrones, pioneers of the corridos tumbados movement, return with a bold new single, “Tony Montana”, a powerful story of ambition, loyalty, and power. The track, inspired by Al Pacino’s legendary Scarface character, is now available on all digital platforms.
A Tribute to Hustle, Family, and Loyalty
Drawing from Scarface’s iconic phrase, “The world is yours,” “Tony Montana” creates a cinematic sonic universe around the grind for success, honoring family, hard work, and perseverance. Musically, the track embodies Herencia de Patrones’ signature sound: a fusion of traditional corrido instrumentation with modern trap and urban elements that continue to define the corridos tumbados genre.
The Soundtrack of a New Era: CLIKA
“Tony Montana” also serves as the central theme for CLIKA, a new film produced by Jimmy Humilde, founder of Rancho Humilde, in partnership with Columbia Pictures and Sony Music.
The movie follows the journey of Chito, played by Jesús Diego “JayDee”, lead vocalist and songwriter of Herencia de Patrones. Set against the backdrop of the American Dream, CLIKA chronicles Chito’s rise from small-town artist to viral sensation, capturing the hustle, obstacles, and triumphs that mirror the real-life journey of many Música Mexicana artists today.
CLIKA is set to premiere in theaters across the United States in late January 2026.
A Milestone for Herencia de Patrones
This marks the group’s first film project, a defining moment in their career, and a bold expansion of their creative reach. With “Tony Montana” and CLIKA, Herencia de Patrones continue to solidify their legacy as one of the most influential voices shaping the new wave of Música Mexicana.
