Colombian artist Goyo, one of the most influential voices in contemporary Afro-Latin music, presents “Pantera,” her highly anticipated first solo album. This project is born from her Chocó roots and her unwavering feminine voice, delivering a global sound infused with power and purpose.
Composed of 14 tracks, the album not only blends Afro-Caribbean grooves, urban beats, and modern melodies—it stands as a sonic manifesto of identity, resilience, and evolution. Recorded between Miami and London, “Pantera” reflects a Goyo who dives deep into her roots, her body, and the world, from the lens of an Afro-Latina woman and global artist.
“Pantera is a celebration of all my versions: the girl from Chocó, the mother, the Black woman, the producer, the one who dances, the one who speaks out, and the one who dreams,” says Goyo.
“Pantera” bridges continents and diasporas through collaborations with artists who, like Goyo, honor their heritage and push the boundaries of Afro-descendant and urban music:
● Greeicy on “En Tu Marea,” an intimate ballad about cyclical, liberating emotions.
● Afro B on “Diana,” an Afrobeat banger recorded in London, fusing dancehall, sensuality, and strength.
● Zaider on “Volver a Verte,” a nostalgic track with Caribbean flavor and Colombian heart.
● Pras (Fugees) on “KeRoWe,” where classic hip-hop meets Afro-Pacific cadence.
● DFZM on “Que Se Prenda,” a burst of raw street energy.
● J Noa, the rising Dominican rap voice, on “Hablan de Mí,” a confrontational and empowering anthem.
● Luister La Voz on “Saltas Por Mí,” a seamless blend of romance and grit.
Each collaboration is a puzzle piece in the powerful musical and lyrical mosaic Goyocrafts with vision, emotion, and artistic leadership.
With Goyo as lead writer on most of the songs, “Pantera” was co-produced by top talent including Slow Mike, Moon Willis, LOUDDAAA, !llmind, Don Mills, JK The Sage, and more. The album was mixed and mastered by renowned engineers Mosty, Luis Barrera Jr., and Dominique.
The result: a genre-bending musical experience rooted in cultural truth. From the funk horns of “QSV” to the Afro-Colombian percussion of “Tumbao” and the electronic vulnerability of “Lágrimas”, every track reveals a new dimension of the Goyo universe.

“Pantera” is more than a musical project: it’s a statement. In every lyric, production choice, and aesthetic decision, Goyo transforms her personal journey into art. Her Afro-Colombian roots, feminine strength, and deep cultural commitment shine through like refracted light, expressed through an array of rhythms: Afrobeat, alt-reggaetón, R&B, rap, Pacific folk traditions, and electronic textures.
“I’m a daughter of the Atrato River, but I’m also a woman of the world. This album is my way of embracing all the geographies, internal and external, that shape who I am,” Goyo concludes.
A two-time Latin GRAMMY® winner with 11 career nominations as the frontwoman of ChocQuibTown, Goyo stands as one of the most influential voices in Latin music today, a powerhouse of originality, authenticity, and unapologetic self-expression.
Throughout her career, she has been a defining voice for the Afro-Latinx community, amplifying messages of pride and resistance on a global stage. Her artistic vision fuses the traditional sounds of Colombia’s Pacific coast with contemporary genres, forging a musical identity that is as unique as it is powerful.
