In the midst of a historic moment for Chilean music, rising star Kidd Voodoo continues to make major strides in his rising career with the release of “MUÑECOTA”, a powerful collaboration with reggaeton icon Yandel. This collaboration represents a solid step in the young artist’s career, as he continues to break barriers and connect with audiences beyond his home country. “MUÑECOTA” is now available on all digital platforms and stands as one of Kidd Voodoo’s most ambitious releases to date.
The track, a vibrant and high-energy reggaeton song, was produced by Dysbit and Flackoloyal—two key names in the new wave of Latin music producers—and is accompanied by a music video directed by acclaimed filmmaker Fernando Lugo. The video blends classic and futuristic reggaeton aesthetics, featuring dim lighting, street murals, and sports cars. Kidd Voodoo and Yandel exude a dark, elegant, and cinematic vibe inspired by street culture and the car scene, highlighting the connection between generations in the genre.
“MUÑECOTA” arrives as Kid Voodoo celebrates the beginning ofseven completely sold-out shows at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, which kicked off on July 22. This milestone makes him the first Chilean artist to achieve this feat in his country. The track is the second and final preview of his highly anticipated album “DELUXE”, which will feature top-tier international collaborations. This release follows the success of “Me Mareo,” his previous collaboration with Spanish artist JC Reyes.
Kidd Voodoo’s impact on the music scene is rapidly becoming undeniable. In 2025, he returned to the legendary Viña del Mar Festival as the only Chilean artist to take the stage for the event’s finale, earning both the Gold and Silver Gaviota awards before a national and international audience. These achievements—along with his unique style, artistic versatility, and global vision—position him as one of the Latin music scene’s most promising new names, drawing the attention of audiences across the United States, Mexico, Spain, and the entire US Latin market.
