Global superstar KAROL G continues to expand her impact beyond music with the Con Cora Foundation’s newest initiative, LATINA PWR for Leadership, a groundbreaking program designed to empower the next generation of Latina leaders in the United States.
For the first time ever, the Con Cora Foundation has partnered with LatinoJustice PRLDEF, a historic civil rights organization founded in 1972 that has provided leadership training to more than 10,000 participants. This collaboration marks a powerful milestone in advancing equity, education, and opportunity for Latinas nationwide.
The program was created to celebrate the strength, resilience, and influence of Latinas while increasing their representation in leadership roles and decision-making spaces. Running from September 2025 through July 2026 in New York City, the program will provide participants with:
- Leadership training tailored to breaking systemic barriers
- Mentorship opportunities with established professionals
- Networking resources to build lasting career connections
- Know Your Rights workshops focused on immigrant and community advocacy
Participants will primarily be first-generation college students pursuing careers in law, social justice, and community empowerment, young women determined to not only succeed professionally but also transform their communities.
The numbers tell a powerful story. According to the Pew Research Center, more than 22 million Latinas lived in the United States in 2022, representing 17% of the nation’s adult women. Yet a 2023 National Women’s Law Center report revealed that over 21% of Latinas were living in poverty, highlighting the systemic challenges they continue to face.
The LATINA PWR initiative directly addresses these disparities by equipping women with the tools, education, and support needed to break cycles of inequality and take their place in spaces of influence.
“Latina PWR is about recognizing the limitless potential of Latinas to transform their lives and their communities. By partnering with LatinoJustice, we’re opening doors for women who not only aspire to professional careers but also want to change the systems that affect thousands of lives,” said Valentina Bueno of the Con Cora Foundation.
For KAROL G, this is more than philanthropy; it’s a movement rooted in representation and empowerment. Through her Con Cora Foundation, she continues to uplift women, create opportunities, and celebrate Latina identity on a global stage.
By connecting mentorship, education, and advocacy, LATINA PWR for Leadership ensures these young women won’t just chase their dreams; they’ll lead the way in creating social change.
At a time when Latino communities face ongoing barriers, KAROL G’s LATINA PWR initiative stands as a beacon of hope, opportunity, and progress. With the support of the Con Cora Foundation and LatinoJustice, this program will shape a new generation of Latina leaders ready to make their voices heard.
