Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist GIULIA BE (@giulia — 2.7M followers) is officially back, marking her long-awaited return with “fool for love,” a vibrant English-language single that opens the door to her ambitious new trilingual and audiovisual project, GIULIA BE.

The song, written and composed by GIULIA alongside her brother Dany Marinho, captures everything that makes her artistry magnetic: honest storytelling, lush melodies, and irresistible pop energy. Produced by Stuart Crichton(known for his work with Kesha, Elton John, Louis Tomlinson, and Backstreet Boys), “fool for love” delivers an international sound wrapped in GIULIA’s signature emotional warmth.

“The coolest thing you can be in this life is a fool for love,” GIULIA shares, perfectly summarizing the song’s message.

A New Pop Era Begins

“fool for love” is light, playful, and deeply romantic, a reminder that vulnerability and joy can coexist. “I wanted to start this new chapter with a song that feels fun, light, and made for dancing,” says GIULIA. “It brings back my original pop side, the same one from ‘Too Bad,’ and it speaks to my philosophy on love: not being afraid to look a little foolish, because loving is always worth it.”

A Cinematic Visual Universe

Directed by Olivia Mucida with creative direction by Lennyn Salinas, the “fool for love” music video marks the first episode of the 21-video series accompanying her upcoming project. Set in a cozy bedroom during a pajama party with friends, the visuals balance humor and mystery, complete with playful choreography, glowing pastels, and a twist of surrealism.

When the group’s game of “spin the bottle” leads GIULIA to make a mysterious call, she suddenly disappears, teasing the dreamlike cinematic world that will unfold across her forthcoming videos.

A Trilingual, Global Vision

The self-titled project GIULIA BE will unfold in three languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese, reflecting the artist’s cultural depth and international reach. Each language embodies a different emotional landscape:

  • English: her bridge between Brazil and the U.S.
  • Spanish: passion, intensity, and creative freedom.
  • Portuguese: the roots and memories that shaped her.

The release schedule will follow that journey: after “fool for love,” the Spanish single “bahia” arrives on October 30, followed by the Portuguese single “viciada” on November 6.

A Historic Move for Brazilian Pop

This new era also marks GIULIA’s first major release under Sony Music’s global division, a landmark moment for a Brazilian artist of her generation. Backed by executive Afo Verde, GIULIA has been given full creative autonomy, a move that underscores her role as one of Latin pop’s most promising and globally resonant voices.

“I realized that no GIULIA exists without the others,” she reflects. “The combination of these versions in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is what makes me whole.”

Created with her brother Dany and a powerhouse team of producers who have collaborated with Rihanna, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Madonna, the project stands as both a personal statement and a global pop manifesto.

With “fool for love,” GIULIA BE sets the tone for a bold new chapter one filled with rhythm, emotion, and fearless storytelling.
