On an unforgettable night at the 2025 HEAT Latin Music Awards, Farruko reaffirmed his status as one of the most influential figures in Latin urban music. Performing in front of an ecstatic audience in the vibrant city of Medellín, Colombia, the award-winning artist delivered a monumental show that will be remembered as one of the most iconic moments in the history of the event.

Farruko took the stage with power, heart, and vision, stunning the world with the global premiere of his new single “Abatido”, joined by Makaco El Cerebro, a rising star in the tropical/urban genre making his international debut in grand fashion. This performance marked a key moment in the launch of Carbon Armor, Farruko’s bold new musical project blending talent, spirituality, and artistic evolution, produced by Ghetto and Keriel Quiroz (K4G), who were also present during the show.

Farruko also used the platform to spotlight emerging talent, inviting young Venezuelan artist Louis BPM, creator of the viral hit “Tranquilo,” to perform the official remix of the song—released May 6—alongside heavyweights like J Balvin, Kris R., and Izaak. This gesture reinforces Farruko’s ongoing commitment to uplifting new voices and fostering unity within Latin music.

The evening began with a green carpet inspired by the traditional silletas of Medellín—a tribute to the city’s rich cultural and artisanal heritage. Farruko and his creative team walked among flowers and tradition, setting the tone for a magical night.

During the awards ceremony, Farruko was honored with one of the night’s most meaningful recognitions: Best Religious Song for his heartfelt track “Tiempos Buenos” featuring Madiel Lara, showcasing his artistic evolution and deep connection to messages of faith and hope.

As part of the HEAT Educational Conferences, Farruko participated in an intimate and transformative conversation, where he shared his spiritual journey and his thoughts on the true meaning of success: “You have to go through a desert where you break yourself. There’s the success of well-being—being healthy emotionally, spiritually, and physically—and then there’s the kind of success that keeps climbing, achieving this and that. But you can’t succeed outwardly if you don’t succeed inwardly,” he shared sincerely.

Reflecting on the global phenomenon of his hit “Pepas”, he added: “When Pepas took off, I was successful—but not inside. I forgot about myself. That song got bigger than me… Today I’m a different man. I’ve learned to listen to myself and let God guide my purpose.”

For Farruko, Medellín marked a new chapter written with music, faith, gratitude, and brotherhood. At the end of his performance, he shared: “Thank you all for the love. Medellín is part of my story and the new path I’m writing with God and with these young lights like Makaco El Cerebro. This is just the beginning.”

Farruko ended his visit to Medellín on a high note as the guest host for the anniversary of the iconic nightclub Dulcinea, joined by Makaco El Cerebro, Ghetto, K4G, and rising star Louis BPM, who was invited by WestCol, Colombia’s top streamer. The event reflected the energy, connection, and cultural impact Farruko continues to create both on and off stage.

Throughout his stay in the city, Farruko also took time to inspire Colombian youth, listening to their stories and encouraging them to pursue their dreams with faith and purpose. One of the most talked-about moments was his motocross adventure with WestCol.

In a late-night video filmed on Medellín’s 4 Sur Bridge, Farruko is seen performing a wheelie on a motorcycle, riding alongside fellow bikers. While the stunt sparked debate on social media, the artist clarified on his platforms that all necessary safety measures were taken and that the intention was to share a moment of freedom and brotherhood with friends and fans in Colombian territory.
