The wait is over. DY, one of the most legendary figures in reggaeton and Latin urban music, is officially making his highly anticipated return to the music industry. Billboard announced that DY will appear during the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Week, taking place October 20–24 at the iconic Fillmore Miami Beach.

This marks DY’s first major public appearance since he announced his retirement from touring in 2022, making this comeback one of the most talked-about moments of the year in Latin music.

DY will sit down for an exclusive conversation with Billboard during the panel “The Power of Reinvention.” The session promises to be an intimate, career-spanning reflection where DY will open up about:

  • His legendary journey in reggaeton
  • The evolution of his artistry and sound
  • How he is shaping the next chapter of his career

This discussion not only honors his past impact but also introduces fans to the new era of DY, built on reinvention, storytelling, and global ambition.

The announcement follows DY’s official comeback reveal earlier this summer. Just 24 hours before releasing his latest music video “Sonríele”, DY dropped a cinematic trailer featuring actor Anthony Ramos. The teaser confirmed his return and set the tone for what promises to be one of the boldest comebacks in Latin music history.

Celebrating over three decades as the epicenter of Latin music, Billboard Latin Music Week is recognized as the industry’s most influential gathering. This year’s edition will feature artist conversations, live showcases, workshops, brand activations, and networking opportunities, capped off with a special celebration concert on Friday, October 24.

Star-Studded Lineup Includes:

…and many more surprises yet to be revealed.

Leila Cobo, Billboard’s Chief Content Officer for Latin and Español, reflected on DY’s return:

“Billboard Latin Music Week has always been where history is written. In 2006, DY was the Star Q&A at the Billboard Latin Music Conference and the first reggaeton artist on our cover. Now, his return marks another defining chapter in our story. His journey of reinvention is not only inspiring but deeply relevant for today’s generation of artists and fans alike.”

The week coincides with the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, airing live on Telemundo and Peacock on Thursday, October 23. Fans and industry leaders alike can secure tickets now at BillboardLatinMusicWeek.com to be part of this historic moment.
