Venezuelan rising star Mari “La Carajita” continues to prove why she is one of the most exciting new voices in Latin music. The singer has officially earned her first nomination at Premios Juventud 2025 in the coveted “La Nueva Generación Femenina” category.
Just one year after being recognized as an Artist to Watch by the same awards, Mari now finds herself competing alongside some of the most talented female artists in Latin music.
“I feel that all the effort I have put into making my music reach and connect with people internationally is paying off. Thank you to Univision, Premios Juventud, my record label AP Global Music, my team, and above all, my audience for their support. You are the reason I continue to dream and work every day,” said Mari upon receiving the news.
2025 has been a career-defining year for Mari:
- In March, she performed her single “AKA” on the magenta carpet at Premio Lo Nuestro, marking its world premiere on U.S. Spanish-language television.
- She joined Rawayana in the music video “VENEKA”, strengthening her presence in the Venezuelan music scene.
- She collaborated with the legendary band Los Amigos Invisibles, showcasing her versatility and talent.
Now, Mari is preparing to release her brand-new single “Prefiero Llorar” this week, while also working on her upcoming studio album—both projects expected to deepen her connection with fans worldwide.
For the first time in its history, Premios Juventud will be held in Panama City on September 25, 2025, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and the global influence of Latin music. Fans play a crucial role in determining the winners, and voting is now open.
