GRAMMY® Award-winning Colombian-American star Kali Uchis is back with fresh music for her fans. Yesterday (Sept. 11), Uchis released her highly anticipated single “Cry About It!” featuring R&B favorite Ravyn Lenae, the first official taste of her upcoming deluxe album, Sincerely: P.S., arriving September 26 via Capitol Records.
The dreamy, bilingual single blends modern doo-wop with touches of bossa nova, creating a lush soundscape where Uchis’ soft yet sharp vocals shine. Singing, “Too bad, so sad, you should cry about it / Llora, llora, hasta que ya te deje de doler”, she delivers a mix of tenderness and sarcasm, while Lenae’s soulful voice adds depth to the track. Fans immediately connected with the song after Uchis debuted it live during her tour; many had already memorized the lyrics from teaser clips circulating on social media.
A Fallon Debut & A Tour on Fire
To celebrate the release, Kali Uchis and Ravyn Lenae brought “Cry About It!” to late-night TV, performing together on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The moment comes in the middle of Uchis’ blockbuster “The Sincerely, Tour”, which has been selling out arenas across the country.
Los Angeles fans were treated to surprise cameos from Peso Pluma, SZA, and Steve Lacy at her sold-out shows at the Kia Forum, while a third L.A. date has been added at the Intuit Dome due to overwhelming demand. This week, Uchis takes over Madison Square Garden in New York City for two back-to-back nights before heading to Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and beyond.
Sincerely: P.S. Deluxe Coming September 26
“Cry About It!” serves as the opening track on Sincerely: P.S., the deluxe edition of Uchis’ chart-topping fifth album Sincerely. Written and executive-produced by Uchis herself, the project is her most intimate to date, inspired by her journey into motherhood and the healing power of love. The original release peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, featuring standout singles like “All I Can Say,” “Sunshine & Rain…,” and “ILYSMIH.”
Critics praised Sincerely as a vulnerable and timeless body of work. Rolling Stone described it as “a vulnerable meditation on motherhood and memory… love and hurt, heaven and earth, birth and loss.” With the deluxe edition on the horizon, fans can expect even more layers to the album’s emotional narrative.
