The celebrated artist has earned a Latin GRAMMY® 2025 nomination in the coveted category of Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album for his latest production, La Jerarquía, a project that honors the genre’s roots while embracing its modern evolution.

Recorded between Valledupar, Barranquilla, and MiamiLa Jerarquía captures the true essence of vallenato through 16 original tracks written by acclaimed composers. Each song reflects Manjarrés’s deep connection to his musical heritage, while his collaboration with Luis José Villa infuses the album with new energy, passion, and authenticity.

This nomination marks another milestone in Manjarrés’s distinguished career. The two-time Latin GRAMMY® winner previously took home the award for Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album with Sólo Clásicos (2008) and El Caballero (2009), and earned an additional nomination for Tu Número Uno (2011). With La Jerarquía, Manjarrés reaffirms his legacy as one of the genre’s most respected and influential ambassadors.

Adding to his momentum, Peter recently released his new single “Se Está Acabando El Año”, a festive collaboration with Luis José Villa that blends emotion, nostalgia, and celebration. Written by Peter Manjarrés, Nicolás Tovar, and Víctor Ariza, the song beautifully captures the spirit of the holidays, cherishing loved ones, memories, and the joy of new beginnings.
