Myke Towers presents Island Boyz, an album that doesn’t aim to fit into any mold, but rather to create its own language. With 23 tracks blending reggaetón, dancehall, dembow, Latin R&B, and afrobeats, this new body of work reaffirms his command over global urban sound and offers a deeper look into an artist in full reinvention.

Island Boyz is, above all, a statement of identity. The album centers his island roots—not just as a Puerto Rican, but as a Caribbean creator with a broad outlook and a fearless approach to risk.

From the introspection of “Expectativas,” to the radio-driven power of “Soleao” featuring Quevedo—currently the #1 Latin song on Spanish radio and a strong contender for the song of the summer in the U.S. and Puerto Rico—to tracks like“No Hay Break” with Omah Lay or “No Quiere Flores” with Gabito Ballesteros, the project connects a wide range of influences without losing cohesion.

The album opens with “La Despedida,” a collaboration with DFZM that sets the emotional and narrative tone of the album with raw, direct vulnerability. Another standout is “Surferita” featuring iZaak, a track that blends ska rhythms with Mexican tuba, resulting in a fresh, unexpected, and deeply Caribbean sound.

“Tengo Celos,” included in the Island Boyz tracklist, is the album’s focus single and is expected to be one of the biggest radio hits of the coming months. The official music video, also out today, was directed by Daniel Eguren, with creative direction by Pol Gago Guilera and César Laboy from Vampire Studio, and produced by Vampire Films.

“I wanted it to sound like where I’m from, but also like what I’m living right now. Island Boyz is the realest thing I’ve done to date,” said Myke Towers about the creative process behind the album.

The lineup of collaborators—Quevedo, De La Ghetto, Gabito Ballesteros, Manuel Turizo, Omah Lay, Ludmilla, DFZM, and Izaak—was not the result of formulas, but of artistic chemistry that amplifies the album’s vision. Each feature adds new layers without disrupting the narrative that runs through the project: a blend of vulnerability, celebration, and artistic evolution.

With Island BoyzMyke isn’t chasing easy hits. He’s aiming for longevity, authenticity, and sonic depth. The production, storytelling, and intention behind each track make this album a solid body of work that marks a turning point in his career.

The singles “Soleao” and “Expectativas” already hinted at the direction. Now, with the full album available on all digital platforms, Island Boyz reveals the complete vision of a project crafted with purpose.

This past weekend, Myke Towers also took part in the 2025 All-Star Celebrity Softball Game for the second year in a row, held at Truist Park in Atlanta as part of the official MLB All-Star Weekend festivities. The event brought together figures from music, sports, and culture— including Young Miko, Eladio Carrión, Jordan Chiles, Wisin, and many others—and benefited Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
