With a visual concept that celebrates the brotherhood between two nations, and set in a traditional “Colmado” in Higüey, Dominican Republic, Elvis Crespo premieres the second track and video in a musical trilogy that aims to unite traditional Dominican merengue with his signature style. On the heels of the release of a new version of his classic “Luna Llena”, with rising Dominican artist Ebenezer Guerra, Crespo unveils today “Me Mataron” with Dominican sensation El Blachy, a new anthem that will go like an arrow straight through the heart.

“Collaborating with El Blachy gives me a dose of new energy,” expressed Elvis Crespo. “It brings a sense of freshness. Starting from the premise that the típico merengue genre is really hot right now, this collaboration was meant to be. Without a doubt, when the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico come together, what emerges is something explosive.”

“Me Mataron” is a song about heartbreak and sorrow, yet its rhythm carries an explosive energy that invites everyone to dance from beginning to end. Directed by Mikel de la Cruz and Raúl Antonio, like “Luna Llena”, the video was filmed at a traditional supermarket (“El Colmado”) setting, representing a local gathering spot where people share life, music, and the spirit of the community. In the world of Poeta Herío, it is where Elvis meets with fellow artists to pour out his wounded heart and seek advice, just as anyone would in their neighborhood. The videos are meant to pay homage to these spaces that remain the beating heart of our culture. The release paves the way for the final chapter in the trilogy, set to be released next week, which will conclude this Poeta Herío cycle with a never-before-seen collaboration.

This single will be part of Elvis Crespo’s highly anticipated new album, Poeta Herío, set to be released worldwide on June 6 across all digital platforms.

Additionally, the “Dueño de la Puntería” will take the stage at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico on June 21, 2025, with a show that promises to make the Island vibrate. Presented by Molusco TV in partnership with Duars Live and NuLife Entertainment, this concert is set to make history at El Choli and will officially kick off his Poeta Herío 2025 tour.
