Billboard Latin Music Week once again proved why it remains the most influential celebration of Latin music and culture. Held at the historic Fillmore Miami Beach, the 2025 edition united the biggest stars, industry leaders, and fans for three unforgettable days of panels, showcases, and exclusive conversations, all leading up to the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the legendary BRESH Miami closing party.

From October 20 to 23, the city of Miami pulsed with creativity, community, and the global power of Latin music. The event spotlighted the artists and executives shaping today’s sound from Daddy Yankee and Bad Bunny to Kali UchisCarín LeónOzuna, and Ivy Queen, offering fans and insiders a front-row seat to the evolution of the genre.

DAY 1: Independence, Innovation, and Industry Game-Changers

The week opened with The Power of Independence, presented by Platoon, where Lenny TavárezPinky Mordan, and Yon MadMusick shared how staying independent allows artists to maintain creative control. “No one can change your DNA or who you are,” said Tavárez, setting the tone for a day about authenticity and empowerment.

The conversation turned kinetic with BRESH & Zumba: Dancing to the Charts, exploring how lifestyle brands are driving culture globally. Later, Let Your Music Speak Louder, presented by Rimas Publishing, gave attendees an inside look into songwriting, production, and royalties with rising creators King SavaggeMachael, and Michelle Maciel.

One of the day’s most inspiring sessions, The Power Duo, featured Carín León and his manager Jorge Juárez in conversation with Billboard’s Leila Cobo. León revealed plans for his first country album while emphasizing staying true to himself: “They criticized me for being different, but that’s how we built a brand.”

The spotlight later shifted to Anuel AA and DJ Khaled, whose onstage chemistry and words electrified the crowd. “I used to listen to Eminem and thought, if he can do it in English, I can do it in Spanish,” said Anuel. Khaled added, “Latinos bring passion, and passion is the key to greatness.”

DAY 2: Women, Globalization, and Genre-Bending Creativity

Tuesday began with a powerful Cafecito with immigration attorney Lea Salama DiMitri, followed by Creating the Hit LIVE, where Pablo AlboránJulio Reyes Copello, and Riza composed a song on the spot, a masterclass in emotion and artistry.

The Globalization of Latin Music panel, featuring Interscope Records executives John Janick and Nir Seroussi, reinforced the partnership mindset behind Latin music’s international success.

The Women’s Panel: Global Rising celebrated new voices like AitanaEla TaubertSilvana EstradaYailin, and Yami Safdie, each redefining what female empowerment looks like in music.

Later, Afrobeats: The New Global Rhythm of Latin Music, presented by Walmart, united GoyoOzuna, and Venesti, showcasing how Latin and African sounds are creating the next global wave.

Closing out the day, Tokischa and Ivy Queen came together for Breaking Stereotypes, a bold and heartfelt conversation about feminism, authenticity, and the power of being unapologetically real. “It felt like people were afraid to see us together,” said Ivy Queen. “But we’re rewriting the narrative.”

As night fell, the Peermusic Showcase at Stardust Lounge and Billboard En Vivo with Anuel AA brought the Miami nightlife alive, proving once again that Latin Music Week isn’t just an event, it’s an experience.

DAY 3: Legacy, Faith, and the Future of Latin Music

The final day delivered unforgettable moments with legends Daddy YankeeGloria and Emilio EstefanCarlos Vives, and Wisin.

In a powerful closing session, Daddy Yankee made his first public appearance in three years, sharing his renewed purpose: “I feel like God has worked in me since I was a child. I took the music and multiplied the talent.” The emotional conversation marked a defining moment in Latin music history.

Meanwhile, The Icon Q&A with Gloria and Emilio Estefan, presented by BMI, offered wisdom for the next generation. “Always be yourself and never record a song you don’t believe in,” said Gloria.

Other highlights included The Cumbia and Tropical Music Explosion with Olga TañónGrupo 5, and Guaynaa, the Selena y Los Dinos session with Suzette Quintanilla, and The Future of Regional Mexican Music featuring CodiciadoNeton Vega, and Óscar Maydon, all proving that the roots of Latin music are thriving in new forms.

A Celebration of Legacy and the Next Generation

The week’s grand finale culminated with the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, featuring show-stopping appearances by Bad BunnyDaddy YankeeElvis CrespoOzuna, and more, followed by an explosive afterparty at LIV Miami, hosted by Danny Ocean.
