Valentina Redefines Heartbreak with New EP otro sad valentín más
While the season celebrates love and friendship, Valentina takes a different approach—one that embraces heartbreak, nostalgia, and unfinished love stories. The rising urban pop artist unveils her new EP, otro sad valentín más, a five-track collection that explores love through the lens of an open wound.
Under the Universal Music México label, the EP features its lead single, “cómo estás?”, a collaboration with Chris Palace, premiering today, February 6, at 8:00 p.m. AST (Listen here: cómo estás?). The full EP drops on February 13 in an innovative release format: each song and its accompanying music video will debut hourly, starting with “ojitos café”at 9:00 p.m. AST, followed by “sorry x la hora” at 10:00 p.m. AST, “no fuimos nada pero dolió” at 11:00 p.m. AST, and concluding with “triste o algo así” at midnight on February 14. After that, the full EP will be available on all streaming platforms.
To mark this milestone, Valentina hosted an exclusive private event on January 24 at Studio 17 in her home country, the Dominican Republic. A select group of superfans were invited for a one-of-a-kind experience—listening to the EP and watching the music videos alongside her in an intimate and unforgettable night (See photos and videos here: Valentina Superfans DR).
This release signifies a major turning point in Valentina’s career. Last week, she was named one of VEVO’s Newcomers 2025 (See here: NEWCOMERS 2025 VEVO), solidifying her position as one of Latin music’s most promising new voices. Additionally, on February 11, she embarks on her first extensive tour across Mexico, covering 24 cities before wrapping up on April 9 (See here: Gira On The Road).
