International superstar Ricky Martin launches PAUSA || PLAY>, a collector’s vinyl that combines two of his EPs released during the pandemic. The vinyl is now available for purchase across all digital stores.
As Ricky describes, PAUSA || PLAY > came to life five years ago when “the entire world experienced the pandemic, a period that tested us all, filling us with anxiety and uncertainty.” Working on and performing each track brought “exactly what I needed: feeling, emotion, thought, poetry, and of course, movement,” he adds.
The vinyl’s Side A includes all tracks from PAUSA ||, featuring collaborations with music industry giants such as Sting, Residente, Bad Bunny, Carla Morrison, Pedro Capó, and Diego El Cigala. Notably, PAUSA || won the 2020 Latin GRAMMY® for “Best Pop Vocal Album” and received a 2021 GRAMMY®nomination for “Best Latin Pop Album.”
The Side B features tracks from PLAY >, including hits like “Ácido Sabor,” “Otra Noche en L.A.” and “A Veces Bien, A Veces Mal,” the latter being the successful collaboration with Reik that topped Billboard’s Latin AirPlay and Latin Pop AirPlay charts and garnered multiple award nominations. During 2023, PLAY > received Latin GRAMMY® nominations for “Album of the Year” and Premio Lo Nuestro, among others.
