Leiva is teaming up with Robe on “Caída libre”—the fifth track ahead of Gigante and an exquisite guitar and vocal song that sees both artists trying to piece together their inner puzzle, even though they know the pieces won’t fit.

Carefully crafted over several months of meetings to find the exact point of alchemy, “Caída libre” is the perfect excuse for Leiva and Robe —two of the most charismatic Spanish rock artists— to finally come together.

When you are lost in the labyrinth, the only minotaur to fear is yourself, as these two giants seem to tell us in this “Caída libre” so sweetly stings. “There are a million pieces of furniture to move, and I don’t know behind which one is what I’ve lost”, reads one of the verses of this portrait of depression that Leiva paints to reflect the fragile situation of one of his best friends.

For the recording, Leiva headed to the legendary Extremadura artist’s studio in Almendralejo, with the final touches added in Madrid, and finally mastered in Nashville.

The music video reveals the two icons’ organic, craftsman-like approach to music, flowing in unison in a memorable and epic cross-generational encounter. The respect and admiration that Leiva has always felt for Robe Iniesta is well known, and with “Caída libre” a warm and affectionate bond has developed between the two, which is evident both in their personal relationship and in the composition and recording process.

Caída libre” is Gigante‘s latest single ahead of its April release
