Jetset Night club in Dominican Republic Roof Collapses
Today, the roof of the popular Jet Set nightclub in the Dominican Republic collapsed during a Rubby Perez concert, with more than 300 people attending the event. At the moment, the local authorities are reporting 44 people dead and more than 140 being treated for injuries.
Crews and specialized canines units are on-site to help with searching through the rubble and in hard-to-reach areas. Local authorities believe the accident happened between 1 AM and 2 AM Tuesday and will not stop until everyone is accounted for.
We can confirm that Rubby Perez has been found and transferred to the Plaza de la Salud Hospital, but Perez saxophone player has been pronounced dead.
Others in attendance were ex-MLB pitcher and World Series Champion Octavio Dotel, who has also been found and pronounced dead from the collapse.
