In GALE’s own words, “‘YSILANDIA’ was born from the mental chaos we experience when we overthink everything, especially in love. It’s an honest internal conversation, inspired by something I learned in therapy, that reflects what goes on in the minds of those who overthink (like me). This song is even more special because I wrote and sang it with ROBI, an incredible artist from Puerto Rico whom I deeply admire. His music, lyrics, and voice have a unique way of connecting, and working together on this was magical. I hope that when you listen to it, you feel less alone in your thoughts and find a little peace within the chaos.”
The release of “YSILANDIA” follows a recent string of 2024 standout releases, including “Por Si Las Dudas” with Lagos, “Tarantino” with Pol Granch and the chart-topping “La Razón” with Ana Mena. GALE also made waves on Billboard charts with her reimagined cover of Shakira’s “Inevitable”, further solidifying her reputation as one of Latin music’s most versatile and dynamic voices. Beyond her own artist project, GALE writes hits with her peers including Christina Aguilera (which won a Latin GRAMMY for best traditional pop vocal album), Shakira, Anitta, Manuel Turizo, Aitana, and Juanes.
Reigned Rolling Stone’s “It Girl” in tandem with the release of her acclaimed and debut album, “Lo Que No Te Dije,” GALE’s 12-song debut project made Rolling Stone’s “Best Albums” and Billboard’s “Best Latin Albums” mid-year and year-end lists. It tracked the multi-color shades of GALE’s journey; from fuck-you feminist punk anthems, vulnerable heartbreak ballads and even dream-pop odes to self-pleasure. A delicious mix of pop, eurodance, punk, grunge and urban-flow. Songs to repeat: “Nuestra Canción”, which ranked #7 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, “Problemas”, which also rocketed to the Top 15, “Inmadura” and “D-Pic.” Blending raw emotion with infectious melodies shines through in GALE’s latest, “YSILANDIA” as she continues to push the boundaries of Latin pop. With her signature mix of vulnerability and strength, GALE transforms personal anxieties into a universal banger, further cementing her status as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Latin music.
