Daniel “Golden” Guerrero Ramos, hailing from Barranquilla, Colombia, has emerged as a local mainstay in the Colombian music scene, showcasing his talent across genres such as Reggaeton, R&B, Dancehall, Afrobeat, Hip Hop, and Pop. A self-taught musician on the keys, Golden has honed his craft for over a decade. In 2020, he was discovered by music industry veterans Mike Molina and Zev Perilman, leading to a signing with Global 7 Publishing and Global 7 Entertainment. His collaborations with US super-producer London On Da Track has resulted in notable projects, including work with artists like Shenseea and Coco Jones as well as Tèo, Beelè, Maria Becerra. Golden has also worked with renowned artists such as Ryan Castro, Hamilton, Zaider, Beelè, Maria Becerra, Jesda, Koora, and many more. In 2025, Golden was nominated for ‘Best Reggae Album’ at the Grammy Awards for his work on Shenseea’s second single “Dolla” from her album ‘Never Gets Late Here.’ In 2023, Golden co-produced “Double Back” for Coco Jones, which reached the top 20 on US Urban Radio and is featured in the ‘Sex and The City’ TV series, “And Just Like That” series. The track is part of Jones’s album, nominated for “R&B Album of the Year” at the 2024 Grammys. Additionally, he contributed to emerging talent ¿Téo?, producing his debut single “A Mi Cama.” ‘Saoko Vol. 1’ marks the captivating debut of singer and producer Daniel “Golden” Guerrero from Barranquilla, Colombia. This Afro/Latin compilation is a vibrant homage to Golden’s deep-rooted love for African and Caribbean sounds, blending elements of Afrobeat, Dancehall, and various Latin genres that have profoundly influenced his musical journey. ’Saoko Vol. 1’ will be released in June 2025. The project draws its name from “Saoco,” a term from Salsa music that signifies a fusion of flavor, rhythm, joy, and freshness with African roots. Golden’s interpretation of Saoco brings these qualities to life, showcasing his unique musical vision through a diverse array of vocalists from Nigeria, Ghana, Colombia, and Belize. In this compilation, Golden wears multiple hats—as a vocalist, producer, and songwriter—crafting a rich tapestry of sound that reflects his multifaceted artistry. At its core, ‘Saoko Vol. 1’ serves as a heartfelt tribute to women, encapsulating Golden’s personal and musical evolution. The album embodies the concept of “music for the glass half full,” inviting listeners to embrace optimism and celebrate life’s vibrancy.
