Cali-born artist Junior Zamora is stepping into a new musical phase with “Me Va Bien,” a bachata and R&B fusion that positions the Colombian singer-songwriter in a softer, more reflective space after Un verano en Caliyork. The single marks his first release of 2026 and arrives as part of the rollout toward his upcoming album.

Created during a songwriting camp in Mexico and left unreleased for nearly three years, “Me Va Bien” now finds its timing as a song centered on peace, emotional clarity, and trusting the moment life is bringing. Rather than forcing a high-impact return, Zamora leans into restraint, letting the track stand as a transitional piece in his evolving catalog.

“This single is for the fans, it’s part of that commitment to our audience,” Zamora said. “It’s also about believing in the songs that come to us, trusting the energy surrounding them and the right moment to release them, so they can stand on their own.”

The move is notable because Junior Zamora has built his identity around Latin R&B, Afro-influenced textures, and alternative Colombian sounds. With “Me Va Bien,” he does not abandon that foundation; he expands it. The bachata influence gives the record a familiar romantic pulse, while the R&B approach keeps it aligned with the intimate, genre-fluid lane that has made Zamora one of Colombia’s more interesting voices outside the mainstream urbano formula.

The timing also matters. Zamora entered 2026 with increased visibility, including an opening slot for Kapo at Bogotá’s Movistar Arena and four Premios Nuestra Tierra nominations, including Best Afrobeat Artist and Best Afrobeat Song for “Sagitario.”

For Zamora, “Me Va Bien” feels less like a reset and more like a recalibration. Latin music’s current landscape is rewarding artists who can move between genre codes without losing identity, and Zamora’s bachata-R&B direction places him in that conversation. It is a strategic pivot toward emotional accessibility without sacrificing the alternative edge that defines his work.

Credits for “Me Va Bien” include mix and mastering by Crivas, songwriting by Junior Zamora, Juan Vegas, and Gerovlx, with production by Gerovlx.

As the countdown toward his next album continues, “Me Va Bien” gives fans a first look at where Junior Zamora may be headed: a more open, melodic, and emotionally grounded chapter that still keeps Cali at the center of his musical DNA.
