Global bachata idol, Prince Royce, opens 2024 with lots of new music, releasing new single “Cosas de la Peda” alongside Mexican singer-songwriter Gabito Ballesteros, an original hit that fuses bachata with Regional Mexican (corrido tumbado) resulting in a bachata tumbada with lyrics made to de dedicated to an ex-love; underscoring the sexiness of bachata with Royce’s melodious vocals and a touch of the tumbado beat with Gabito Ballesteros‘ talent. To stream and/or download “Cosas de la Peda”.

“I am very proud of this song because it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I had already fused bachata with mariachi in ‘Incondicional’ and with banda music in a special version of ‘Soy El Mismo’; and I wanted to do it again, this time with corrido tumbado. It’s a perfect mix that I refer to as bachata tumbada – I hope people love it as much as I do,” Royce expressed.

The music video was shot in Miami, FL and directed by Fernando Lugo.

The new song will be part of the multiplatinum superstar’s seventh album, Llamada Perdida, a masterful production that took two years to produce and promises to be his most personal and uplifting release yet. It includes 23 tracks that feature hits such as “Te Espero” with Maria Becerra, “Me EnRD“, “Otra Vez“, “LE DOY 20 MIL” ft El Alfa, “Lao’ a Lao‘”, “Si te Preguntan” with Nicky Jam and J Wheeler. The album will be available on digital, CD and  a Vinyl limited cassette edition on February 16th. To pre-order/pre-save Prince Royce’s new album Llamada Perdida.

In addition, last Friday Royce surprised the CALIBASH audience at L.A.’s Crypto Arena, performing  “Cosas de la Peda” for the very first time on stage alongside Gabito Ballesteros. And if that were not enough, Royce and Gabito will be performing the track live tomorrow, January 17th, on Good Morning America. You can’t miss it!

Cosas de La Peda“, was written by Geoffrey Royce Rojas (Prince Royce), Edgar Barrera, Andres Jael Correa Rios, Luis Miguel Gomez Castaño, Gabito Ballesteros, Daniel Candia and D’Lesly “Dice” Lora; produced by Edgar Barrera and Casta.
