MON LAFERTE inks deal Sony Music Latin

Sony Music Latin proudly announces its newest addition to the label, the multi-award-winning artist Mon Laferte, who has chosen Sony Music Latin as her new record label. The outstanding singer, a four-time Latin GRAMMY® winner, signed the contract that marks the beginning of an exciting new stage in her career. This important event took place, with the presence of Afo Verde, Chairman & CEO of Sony Music Latin-Iberia, as well as Alex Gallardo, president of Sony Music US Latin.

Norma Montserrat Bustamante Laferte has established herself as one of the most versatile and recognized singer-songwriters in Latin America on an international level. Her passion for music began at the age of 9 when she received her first guitar, and since then, she has displayed an inexhaustible energy.

Mon Laferte has been acclaimed at some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, the Lincoln Center in New York, the National Auditorium in Mexico City, and the Movistar Arenas in Buenos Aires and Santiago, as well as her participation in iconic festivals such as ACL, Outside Lands, Coachella, and Vive Latino.

With hits like “Amárrame” (with Juanes), “Pa’ donde se fue,” and “Si tú me quisieras,” among many others, Mon Laferte is also a successful visual artist and activist committed to the defense of women and the most vulnerable in society. Her participation in Women’s Day marches and other feminist initiatives has established her as one of the most socially committed artists in Latin America.

This August, the documentary “Mon Laferte, te amo” will be released on Netflix, about the tour carried out by the artist between 2021 and 2022. Currently, her “Autopoietic Tour” is touring the United States, before crossing the Atlantic with performances in Europe during the summer.

With her inclusion, Sony Music Latin strengthens an exceptional roster that includes the most outstanding Latin artists from the United States and Ibero-America.
